Writer and Village Explorer

Exploring Nonnie's Backyard

Welcome to Karen’s WAVE! I called this blog Karen’s WAVE (Writer and Village Explorer), because I think that might best describe me at this point in my life. I’m a writer, and I just moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. So, I’m still exploring the Village right now.

New blog. I’ve wanted to start a new blog on WordPress.com where I could start fresh, writing on any subject that happened to be on my mind. I think this will be a good way to tear down the writer’s block that seems to get in my way at times. But I haven’t figured out all the features of WordPress.com. So, bear with me on that. By the way, if you have any WordPress suggestions, I’d LOVE to hear from you!

Random thoughts. On this new blog, I can write about the things that are on my mind–whether that’s faith, family, writing, photography, exercise, diet, or nothing at all. In fact, this post might seem like my endless rambling. But if you knew me at all, you would know that I tend to get distracted at times. And sometimes I don’t even finish my sentences or thoughts. Like now ….

Bad language. So, if you want to come along for the ride, I’d love to chat with you. Just leave a comment. But please, be sure your comments are not crude, rude, or obscene. I’ve got children and grandchildren, you know.

Online links. By the way, you can find my website at http://www.karenjordan.net and my other blog at http://blog.karenjordan.net. But I’m warning you, I’m revising all my online sites at all times–so beware! That’s just part of being a writer, I guess (constant revisions).

Fav quote. I’ll end this post with a great quote that one of my favorite writing teachers, Dr. Sally Crisp, at UALR (University of Arkansas at Little Rock) shared with me: ‎”Take chances, make mistakes, get messy!” (Ms. Frizzle, Magic School Bus).

WAVE!!! [I’ve gotta find some clip art for my closing! Any suggestions?]

Do you have any suggestions for a new WordPress blogger?
